NASHVILLE’S FIRST CRAFT CIDERY

DANGEROUSLY DELICIOUS AND OPEN FOR BUSINESS

OUR STORY

Diskin Cider was founded in 2012 when Adam Diskin moved to Nashville from the Pacific Northwest and searched far and wide for the kind of true cider experience he had come to love in Washington, Canada, and England. After years of searching without success, he decided it was time to create his own. Adam partnered with his friend Todd Evans to build Nashville's first craft cidery, introducing a different approach to cider in Tennessee and throughout the South.

From the beginning, Diskin set out to challenge expectations. Rather than producing overly sweet cider, Adam and Todd focused on traditional cider-making methods, crafting cider from fresh-pressed apples and allowing the fruit to speak for itself. To deepen their understanding of the craft, they studied under an English Cider Master, learning techniques that have been passed down for generations.

That respect for tradition shaped more than just the cider. In England, cider has long been a drink that brings people together—shared among friends and neighbors gathered in barns beneath the stars. When Diskin opened its Nashville cidery and tasting room, that spirit of community inspired every detail of the space and every pint poured.

Today, Diskin Cider enters an exciting new chapter. After more than a decade building the brand, Adam retired with a vision of ensuring the company would continue in capable hands. Ownership transitioned to his half-brother, Mike Morris, whose extensive background in hospitality and restaurant operations—including years leading successful concepts in Washington State—made him a natural steward for the next generation of Diskin.

As part of this transition, Diskin closed its flagship Nashville tasting room and moved production back to Washington State, where the company has sourced its apples for years. Bringing production closer to the orchards allows us to stay connected to the fruit that has always been at the heart of our cider while continuing to focus on quality and consistency in every batch.

While production now takes place in Washington, Nashville remains the heart of the Diskin story. The city embraced us from the beginning, and our commitment to serving the Nashville community is stronger than ever. You'll continue to find Diskin throughout Middle Tennessee, at local events, and in the bars, restaurants, and retailers that have supported us along the way. As we continue to grow, we're already setting our sights on creating a new gathering place for cider lovers, with plans to establish a new Nashville tasting room in the next year.

While some things have changed, our commitment remains the same: crafting authentic cider from real apples, honoring traditional methods, and creating experiences that bring people together. We are proud of our Nashville roots, grateful for everyone who has been part of our journey, and excited for what lies ahead!

Founder

Adam Diskin

After years as a rocket scientist and looking for cures in nuclear medicine, Adam decided it was time for something challenging. Thus Diskin Cider was born (years of underage cider drinking didn’t hurt either). The desire to bring all-natural, fresh, approachable, traditionally made cider to the South took Adam to Washington State and England.

While training under an English cider master, Adam learned cider was as much about community and celebrating friends as it was about great-tasting cider made only from fresh-pressed apples. It was time to take the same recipes started in the garage into our urban barn-centered cidery.

Mike Morris

Owner

Mike Morris is the brother of Diskin Cider founder and master recipe creator Adam Diskin. As the owner of Diskin Cider, Mike brings more than 30 years of hospitality and business experience to the company.

Originally from Spokane, Washington, Mike studied Hospitality Management in Las Vegas before building a successful career owning and operating restaurants. He currently owns Fuel Sports Grill, Seattle’s Ultimate Sports Bar, and the bar at the Neptune Theater a Seattle Icon, both of which were among the first locations in Washington to carry Diskin Cider.

Mike came to Nashville in 2025 to train under his brother Adam. During that time, he fell in love with Tennessee and decided to make it his home. After relocating his family to Nashville, he committed himself to growing Diskin Cider through exceptional quality, expanded sales and distribution, and his vision of opening a new Diskin Cider tasting room in the Music City.

An avid sports fan, Mike has been a lifelong supporter of Washington teams but lately has been transitioning to Tennessee Sports.
